  • Many people support themselves and their families through growing food for their own consumption - subsistence farming 
  • Child labour often used.
  • Many people rely on work in the informal sector which often includes petty trading and its often labour-intensive and unregulated
  • Under-employment - Indian graduates working in call centres in India.
