Pilgrimage of Grace 1536- Robert Aske sent letters calling to maintain holy church. gathered 40,000 rebels and moved down south to Pontefract castle.
Pilgrimage of grace 1536-Duke of Norfolk sent north to negotiate and Henry offered a general pardon. Aske said monasteries must not be closed before parliament met, agreement was met.
