1. Place 2cm3 of each unknown sample in separate boiling tubes
2. Add 2cm3 of Benedict's solution to all boiling tubes
3. Place boiling tubes in a water bath at 90°C for four minutes
4. Zero the colorimeter using distilled water, set to red filter
5. Measure absorbance of known samples using colorimeter
6. Make a calibration curve, plotting absorbance against known glucose concentrations
7. Measure absorbance of unknown samples and use calibration curve to determine glucose concentrations
