Angle pairs

• Vertex:

  The vertex is where the sides meet
• Adjacent angles:

  Angles that share the same side
• Linear pair:

  adjacent angles whose measures add up to 180 degrees
• Supplementary angles:

  two angles that add up to 180 degrees
• Complementary angles:

  two angles that add up to 90 degrees
• Vertical angles:

  two angles formed by intersecting lines
• parallel:

  When two lines don't intersect, then they're parallel
• Transversal:

  When a third line intersects parallel lines and 8 angles are formed
• Alternate interior angles:

  in between the parallel line but on opposite sides of the transversal line
• Same side interior angles:

  in between the parallel lines and on the same side of the transversal line
• Corresponding angles:

  are either both above or below a parallel line and are on the same side of the transversal line
