• The liberal reforms led to a wider range of groups receiving healthcare, including children and mothers. This included the 1906 School meals Act, 1907 School Medical Service, 1908 Children and Young Persons act and 1911 National Insurance
• The US government supported the development of penicillin, which meant it was mass produced. during WWII, the US government mass produced 2.3 million doses to treat soldiers in D-Day in 1944
