  1. 1st Line - Emollients

  2. 2nd Line - Coal tar preparations

  3. 3rd Line - POM (Steroids/ Dithranol/ Vit D derivatives e.g. calcipotriol)
• counselling for psoriasis?

  Coal tar can cause photosensitivity
• psoriasis red flags?

  • patients presenting with no prior diagnosis should be referred
  • patients with moderate to severe psoriasis may require specialist referral
