• at the equator the sun rays are concentrated so the tempreture is higher

• it is very hot and wet in the rainforest.It is very hot because at the equator,the sun rays are concentrated on a smaller area than the poles
• there is high rainfall too the heat causes the air to rise.This rising air forms huge clouds which lead too alot of rain

• the rainforests are being destroyed by deforestation this is when forests are cut down to make way for farming,logging and mining.this destroys habitats and reduces oxygen levels
