    Researchers need to be aware of the CONSEQUENCES of research aimed at GROUPS IN SOCIETY and how they would be REPRESENTED

    Phrasing of the question influences HOW the findings are INTERPRETED. May also OVERLOOK certain groups that in theory would not fit into the question

    DSM-1 listed homosexuality as a personality disorder before removing it in late-1900’s. interviews with homosexual men showed it is a normal variant of sexual behaviour.
  • - NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES

    Criminal gene would imply that people cant be held responsible for their crimes. Suggests there needs to be careful consideration of consequences.
