    Energy mix - relates to the different energy sources, the UK relies on fossil fuels but is rapidly increasing use of renewables. Coal, oil and gas all exploited in the past in the UK but reserves are running out and coal has all but disappeared.
  • what's happening to our domestic supplies of coal, gas and oil?
    Production levels for all fuels except wind and solar are down on 2022, with coal, oil and nuclear output all at record lows, whilst output from wind, solar and hydro was at a record high

    Nuclear power: Waste disposal, cost, accidents.
    Fracking: Water contamination, earthquakes, air pollution.
    Wind farms: Bird and bat collisions, visual impact, noise.
