The London Suitable Industries Park - Case Study

• it is located on the thames gateway, it was built on the former dagenham ford car factory (brownfield site) and it has space for 9 different businesses
• the park is well-connected by the underground network, the network rail network, the m25 motorway and the city airport
• the first three organisations to locate on the park were a recycling organisation, a sustainability research organisation and a company that specialises in turning waste food into biogas
• the aim of the park is that the companies will work together sharing resources and ideas, exchanging waste and byproducts
• the park has received government investment as it is seen as a good model for future industrial parks
