  • DECLARATION OF POLICY - ACT TO PROMOTE AND IMPROVE THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC STATUS OF PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS
  • THIS ACT SHALL BE KNOWN AS MAGNA CARTA FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS

  • A TEACHER SHALL MEAN ALL PERSONS ENGAGED IN CLASSROOM TEACHING IN ANY LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION
  • APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS SHALL BE DEFINED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • BSEED
    • SECONDARY EDUCATION BA OR BS AT LEAST 18 UNITS
    • SECONDARY VOCATIONAL AND TWO-YEAR DEGREE IN FIELD OF SPECIALIZATION WITH AT LEAST 18 UNITS
    • COLLEGIATE LEVEL MASTER'S DEGREE WITH SPECIFIC AREA OF SPECIALIZATION
  • POSSESSES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR NOT TEACHER-APPLICANT SHALL TAKE COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS
  • HOW LONG IS THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR TEACHERS WHO POSSESS MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS BUT LACK APPROPRIATE CIVIL SERVICE?
    1 YEAR
  • PERMANENT APPOINTMENT FOR POSITION A TEACHER SHALL RENDER AT LEAST TEN YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE
  • NO TEACHER SHALL BE TRANSFERRED WITHOUT HIS CONSENT FROM STATION TO STATION IF HE BELIEVES THERE IS NO REASON TO TRANSFER, HE MAY APPEAL HIS CASE TO THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS OR DIRECTOR OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION, ONCE APPROVED THE GOVERNMENT SHALL PAY THE NECESSARY EXPENSES OF THE TEACHER AND HIS FAMILY

    • PREPARE BY THE SECRETARY OF EDUCATION

  • PROBATIONARY PERIOD

    • 10 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS RENDER
