  • The aim was to see whether music will lead to better memory recall of five letter words than processing without music.
  • Sample was collected through opportunity sampling
  • Repeated measures was used as participants completed music and no music conditions
  • Participants had to Memorise 20, 5 letter words that were presented on a PowerPoint slide for 30 seconds. They did this with and without music.
  • Independent variable was music or no music
  • Dependent variable was the number of words recalled out of 20
  • Ordinal data as the number of words called out can be ranked
