Bats hunt for insects at night, using a high frequency system called echolocation. Bat calls are usually pitched at too high a frequency for humans to hear naturally - but they can be heard or recorded using different types of bat detectors.
At Arbtech we use the Echo Meter Touch 2 Pro Detector which can be plugged into an android device to convert the echolocation call into distinctive audible sounds within the range of human hearing, our detectors also record the calls, and display the spectrogram of bat calls.
