Thermal Capacity

Cards (3)

  • The rise in temperature of a body is an increase in the internal energy of that body. The average kinetic energy of a gas particle is directly proportional to the temperature.
  • Specific Heat capacity (c) is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of a certain substance by 1 C
  • Thermal Capacity (Q) is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of an object by 1oC.
