Respiratory System (Biology)

• Human Breathing System is also know as Respiratory System.
• Respiratory System is responsible for taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide.
• Nose and Mouth are the entrance of oxygen in our body.
• Nasal Cavity - The air passing this part is clean, warm, and damp.
• Pharynx is our throat.
• Larynx is our voice box.
• Trachea - Is also known as Windpipe. It is an empty tube that serves as passageway of air into the lungs.
• Lungs are the MAIN ORGAN of the Respiratory System.
• Bronchi - The two branching tubes that connect the trachea to the lungs.
• Bronchioles - These are the hair like tubes that connect to the alveoli.
• Alveoli - These are the air sacs that allow gas exchange in the lungs.
