Classes
Classes will inform parents about
labour

pain
, types of births and birth intervention so they know what to expect.
There are also
refresher
classes for those who have already had
children.
Exercise
More active a mother is during

gain and cope with labour.
Healthy Diet
Mothers are advised to follow the
eatwell guide
Mothers are also told what foods to avoid such as alcohol,
raw eggs
and
uncooked meats
Breastfeeding
Mothers are advised to breastfeed for atleast the first
two
weeks
This is because a
concentrated
form of milk called
colostrum
is produced - no other milk has such concentrated immune boosters
