Jean Henry C. Dunant was born in Geneva, Switzerland May 8, 1828
The Battle of Solferino was in June 24, 1859
There were 300,000 soldiers but 40,000 were killed, wounded or missing for the span of 16 hours.
Dunant saw the suffering of the wounded soldiers on the battlefield which led him to write "A Memory of Solferino"
in November 1862, The book Un Souvenir De Solferino was published in Geneva, Switzerland which translates to "A Memory Of Solferino"

International Federation is for natural disasters.
National Societies is both conflict and disaster in National level.
IHL or International Humanitarian Law is also called as The law of Armed conflict or the law of war
International armed conflicts are wars between two or more countries, while interstate conflicts are wars between two or more countries and a third party.
Non-international armed conflicts are civil wars within one country where there is no involvement from other states.
IHL applies to all parties to a conflict regardless of who started it and regardless of formal declaration.
