  • (in) Evidence 1: In the OS map there are several examples of linear, dispersed
    clustered settlement. There is no large urban settlement on the map, such as
    city. The village of Ballingeary is the only example of a settlement on the map
    Evidence 2: In the aerial photograph most of the area shown is hilly terrain wit
    absence of settlement. In the right background all that can be seen are hills
  • Early Christian settlement.
    • Proximity to the lake would have been beneficial as a provides them with a
    food/ essential resources such as drinking for water fishing for the supply
    these were crucial for sustaining in settlements.
    • The area around here is sparsely (barely) populated. Good ones would've
    answering area of a religious practices additionally legs/bodies of waters
    significant and religious text e.g. the river Jordan where Jesus was baptise
  • Reason 1: Out-of-town retail parks offer people all the services and retail units
    under one roof or in one location. You can buy groceries, pharmacy needs, clothes
    jewellery, shoes, etc. all in the same place, e.g., Manor West retail park, Tralee,Co.kerry
    Customers have more choice and don't need to be out in inclement weather.
  • Reason, 2 for choosing an out town retail park - A wide variety of affordable housing is
    available in the suburbs. Therefore, out-of-town retail units attract their customers
    these areas. They also offer convenient, free or cheap parking, as most people living in the
    suburbs use private cars to access the shops, and this is less stressful and cheaper
    parking in the city centre.
