  • (1) Scyphistoma or the mature polyp undergoes Strobilation (asexual reproduction)
  • (2) It then produces Ephyra which is the young medusa
  • (3) Ephyra will then mature and develop into a young medusa. It may dioecious or monoecious but most of the time, it is dioecious
  • (4) Young medusa lays eggs
  • (5) Eggs are exposed to sperm
  • (6) It then develops into a ciliated Planula larva
  • (7) then, the planula larva will swim freely for selective settlement in order to form young polyp
