  • Pseudoscience: Pseudoscience are statements, beliefs, or practices that claim to be both scientific and factual but do not abide by the rigours of the scientific method.
  • Neuropsychology: Studies the relationship between the nervous system and behaviour alongside mental processes. Neuropsychologists assist in the rehabilitation of people with brain disorders that affect memory, attention, language, and other cognitive functions.
  • Forensic Psychology: Using legal and psychological knowledge to assist individuals, government employees and organisations to navigate the legal and criminal justice system. They are used in services such as determining sanity, child protection and custody, and divorce.
  • Clinical Psychologist: Focuses on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. Work in hospitals and private practice to help those with PTSD, depression, etc.
  • Psychology is the study of behaviour and mental processes.
  • Psychiatry: A field of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioural disorders.
  • Psychiatrists must train at RANZCP, which is the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists..
