1. Write a hypostheis predicting how the amount of practise will affect the reaction time

Plant Responses method
1. Split sample of 20 seedlings into 4 groups of 5
2. Place one seedling into dampcotton wool into a Petri dish and repeat with 4four Petri dishes
3. Set each dish different distances from a window
4. Water seedlings at beginning and end of each day. Make sure get same volume of water
5. Use aluminium foil to make caps that cover tip of seedling. Need to cover same length. Place foil on tip of 2/4 seedlings
6. Leave seedlings then draw results
Field investigation method
1. On a section of field look for a common species
2. Randomly place your quadrat by placing two measure tapes alongside the x and yaxis
3. Place quadrat in each section and record number of plants and calculate mean
Investigating an abiotic factor on plant distribution method
1. Look for twoareas where species is growing
2. Put down transect line from shady to sunny area
3. Decide on intervals and at least 10 samples should be taken
4. Record light intensity where quadrat is placed
5. Countnumber of plants
6. Repeat along line
Decay method
1. Add 20cmcubed of milk to beaker
2. Add 5cmcubed of bile salts using measuring cylinder
3. Clean cylinder
4. Add 10cmcubed of sodium carbonate
5. Add 10drops of phenolphthalein to beaker, it should be pink
6. Put in water bath and stir, leave for 5mins
7. Add 5cmcubed of lipase solution and start stopwatch
8. Stir contents until loses pink colour. Stop stopwatch
