Describe how cells receive the reactants for respiration?
Glucose and oxygen for aerobic respiration is carried around the body by the blood. Glucose is absorbed into the blood by the smallintestine and oxyen by the lungs. The blood also carries waste product like co2.
Describe the role of diffusion
Respiring cells produce co2. The concentration of co2 is higher in respiring cells than in the blood. This mean co2 diffuses down the concentration gradient into the blood.
Respiring cells uses up glucose and oxygen. The concentration of glucose and oxygen are higher in the blood then respiring cell. This mean oxygen and glucose diffuse down its concentration gradient to respiring cells.
