Hindu

• Before time there was nothing
• A giant cobra floated amongst the waves. Inside the cobra's coils laid Vishnu, who peacefully slept.
• A loud 'om' noise eventually drove away the nothingness with it's powerful energy
• Vishnu woke up and a lotus flower grew from his navel
• The lotus flower contained Brahma (the creator) inside it
• Vishnu told Brahma to create the world
• Brahma brought peace and then split the lotus flower in three, to make the skies, the Earth and the Heavens
• Brahma filled the empty space with wildlife and allowed them to evolve. The world was filled with the sounds of Brahma's creations.
• Hindu's believe in one God, but use different names to describe him when he does different things
• When God creates, he is called Brahma, when God looks after the creation he is called Vishnu, and when God destroys the universe he is called Shiva
