• Believe in a 'free' market - competition and freedom of choice to create a healthy society. People should be free to make their own decisions but must accept responsibility for their actions. Competition drives up standards for society.
• Welfare state is undermining personal responsibility and encouraging dependency through income tax and welfare benefits. As most are able to work but choose the lifestyle choice of benefits.
