• Women's inequality arises from sexist stereotyping, gender role socialisation, sex discrimination and outdated laws.
• This generates a lack of opportunitism for women, keeping them in lower-paid and low status occupations.

  Women adapt and mould bodies to appeal to men. They are discouraged from positive self-images and encouraged to subordinate to men. Women lose status as they go through life due to the gender pay gap, underrepresented in politics and high power jobs. Legal structures lack females and we must educate men and women of the importance of gender inclusion in these areas.
• Evaluation of Liberal Feminism:

  • Evidence suggests feminism works (#HeForShe, shared parental leave, Sex Discrimination Act 1975)
  • Radical feminists argue this is not effective enough as there is still existence of patriarchal control.
