• Rate of reaction (measuring gas produced)?

  • React magnesium ribbon with 50^3cm HCL in conical flask with bung and tube to gas syringe
  • Record volume of gas every ~10 seconds
  • Repeat for different conc. of acid
• Rate of reaction (measuring turbidity change)?

  • Mix 10cm^3 of reactants in conical flask (sodium thiosulphate + hydrochloric acid)
  • Look over the flask with piece of paper with a cross on below it
  • While looking above, time how long it takes for the cross to disappear due to mixture going cloudy
  • Repeat for different conc.
