  • Method
    • Add a bit of card with a gap in the middle which interrupts the light gates twice
    • The light gate can measure the velocity of the trolley
    • Connect the trolley to a bit of string which is connected to a mass
    • The weight of the masses with provide the accelerating force
    • Mark a line to ensure the trolley starts at the same distance
    • Release the trolley and measure the acceleration, repeat to get an average acceleration
