Shi'a Islam - Five Roots of Religion

• Tawhid:

  • The oneness of God
  • "He is Allah, the One and Only"
• Nubuwwah:

  • Prophethood
  • God sent prophets to guide humans
  • God sent 124,000 prophets which some brought God's divine scriptures
  • Muhammad was Seal of Prophets
• Imamate:

  • Leadership
  • God appointed 12 imams after death of Muhammad to guide community on path set by Muhammad
  • 11 out of 12 imams have been killed
  • 12th imam is still alive (Madhi), is in hiding, and will return on Judgement Day
• Quayamat:

  • Resurrection
  • Muslims will be judged fairly on Judgement Day
  • Ressurection will happen on Judgement Day
  • "Whoever has done an atoms weight of good will see it. Whoever has done an atoms weight of bad will see it."
• Five Roots = Usul Ad Din
