Nature of God

• • Tawhid - oneness of God
  • "There is no deity except him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
• • Immanent - God is always close by
  • "He is closer to each of us than the veins in our necks."
• • Transcendent - God is above all, even nature
• • Omniscient - God has all knowledge, nothing can be hidden from Him
• • Beneficent - God is always kind
• • Merciful - God is always fair and forgives us if we are sorry
• Judge - on the last day, God will be our judge
• • Creator - God is the beginning
• • Adalat - perfect justice, fairness, wisdom
• Shirk - major sin - to worship anything other than God
• Fitrah - natural instinct from birth to know and worship God
• Taqwa - awareness of God in every aspect of life - highest quality of a Muslim, leading them to worship God
• • Hanifs - people before Prophet Muhammad who believed in one God
