Leslie Cube

• Method

  • Place an empty Leslie cube on a heat-proof mat
  • Boil water in a kettle and fill the Leslie cube with boiling water, measure the temperature of each face
  • Hold an infrared detector a set distance from one of the cubes faces and record the infrared radiation
  • Repeat for each of the cubes faces, from the same distance
  • Repeat to find a mean amount of radiation
