• What are some situations where Pikuach Nefesh takes place?

  Doctors can answer emergency calls on Shabbat

  ​Abortions to save a mother’s life are mandatory – the unborn child is not considered equal to the mother

  ​Euthanasia, suicide and assisted suicide are strictly forbidden

  ​It may be permissible to end artificial prolonging of life on life support​ Organ donation
• By obeying the mitzvot, Jews are able to show their obedience and gratitude to God. Thus strengthening their connection to God and giving religious importance to everyday activities
• Jews are not allowed to eat:

  • Pork
  • Dairy and meat together
  • Shellfish
  • 'Dirty Foods'
• Jews must wait 5 hours before eating any meat if you ate any dairy
• Jews must wait 2 hours before eating dairy if you ate meat
• Orthodox Jews believe in a form of resurrection where the good is ressurected but the bad's soul is destroyed
• Reform Jews do not believe in an afterlife, they think that when we die our souls go back into the universe
• The Shabbat begins at sunset on Friday evening and ends at nightfall on Saturday.
