visible light

• violet (400nm) to red (750nm)
• white = reflects all wavelengths of light equally
• black = absorbs all light
• opaque = objects that dont transmit light
• transparent objects = transmit light in straight lines so you can see an image through them
• translucent = transmits light but also scatters it - not clear eg frosted glass
