Geometric hypothesis testing

Cards (1)

  • How do you chose the correct critical region for geometric hypothesis testing for the case (where the probability is 0.1and the critical region is 0.05)
    1. p>0.1
    2. p<0.1
-1. if you assume the probability is greater then you make the assumption that it takes less events to get a success so:
    (1-0.1)^x-1 (<or=) 0.05
trying to find the value of x for which x or less happening is less than 5%
    -2. And vice versa
