  • Negotiation is very cheap and can be resolved quickly in most cases
  • Negotiation is suitable for all types of dispute such as consumer disputes, neighbour disputes but usually not very useful for issues such as divorce unless te parties ar able to get along
  • The negotiation procedure requires parties to compromise on their issues and settling the dispute
  • The decisions are not binding so taking the dispute to court is another option
