representations of the peoples act 1918- allowed married women 30+ to vote and also men 21+
Equal franchise act 1928- all men and women 21+

groups who cant vote- under 18s, prisoners, lords and monarchs and those sectioned

if 16 year olds vote there may be problems relating to democratic deficit which is when those in power aren't held effectively accountable and undemocratic elements which undermine democracy

yes participation is decreasing- falling turnout, decline in party membership, end of corporatism
no there isnt a participation crisis- increased turnout sine 2001, more parties, labour membership has increased, increase in pressure groups and rise of social media campaigns
