Immune System

• Innate - comprises the cells and mechanisms that defend the host from infection by other organism in a nonspecific manner (Leukocytes)
• Adaptive - composed of highly specialized, specific, systemic cells and processes that eliminate or prevent pathogenic challenges (B-cells and T-cells)
• Vaccine - a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular disease.
