    • Jesus gave many demonstrations, for example, the parable of the lost son - selfish lifestyle, realises that his only hope if to return to his fathers house and beg forgiveness.
    • The parable highlights how hard it is to forgive and recognises that true forgiveness is hard, when asked Jesus how many times a sin should be forgiven it is answered 70 times 7.

    • In the sermon on the mount, by resisting lust, a person is not led to commit adultery.
  • What does C.S Lewis argue?
    • against the view that Jesus was merely a teacher of wisdom.
    • the claim to forgive sins, can only come from God, so Jesus was either God, insane etc, cannot just only be a moral teacher.
    • Yet, could be argued that Jesus himself honestly deluded and honest mistake of divinity, but delusion not affect his moral reasoning so is just merely a human teacher of wisdom, incorrectly thought himself divine.
