  • How does peritoneal dialysis filter?
Uses glucose in dialysate to create an osmotic gradient.
  • How does hemodialysis filter?
    It uses a pressure gradient.
  • How long does it take for an AV fistula to mature before it can be used for hemodialysis?
    3 months.
  • How long does it take for an AV graft to heal?

    Every 24 - 48 hours.
  • What color should the ultrafiltrate be?
    Clear yellow.
