extinguisher to be used is water or dry powder.
Class A
Flammable liquids
. Extinguished by use of either dry powder or carbon dioxide extinguishers
Class B
Electrical equipment, appliances and wiring. Use dry powder or carbon dioxide extinguishers.
Class C
Certain flammable metallic substances such as Na and K. This is difficult to control and requires properly trained fire-fighting personnel. Use special dry chemical extinguishers for this class of fire.
Class D
occur with the high temperature cooking oils, grease, or fats. Require agents to prevent splashing and cool the fire as well as smother it
