• Centripetal force

  • Centripetal force is a force acting on an object in circular motion which is directed towards the axis of rotation (or) centre of curvature.
• Angle of banking

  • The angle that the inclined track makes with horizontal is called angle of banking.
• Centrifugal force

  • Centrifugal force in a circular motion is not a real force, it acts radially away from the centre of the circle. It results from the effect of inertia.
• Centrifuge

  • A centrifuge is a piece of equipment that puts an object in rotation around a fixed axis.
• Examples of Centrifugal Force

• Centripetal force

  A force that accelerates an object towards the centre of a circular path
• For an object to move in a circle
