  • Levonelle One step is for 16+ but safe to use in breastfeeding
  • Check for : St Johns Wort, Anticonvulsants, Rifampicin, Ritonavir, Ciclosporin
  • Levonelle is taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex or contraception failure, one tablet immediately
  • If two or more active COC pills are missed in week one
  • If a pill is late or missed less than 27 hours for traditional POP or 36 for desogestrel POP
  • EllaOne is one tablet taken no later than 120 hours (5days) after unprotected sex
  • The pill may affect the timing of the next period, however a difference of more than 5 days should take a pregnancy test
  • If vomiting occurs, another tablet should be taken within 3 hours
