joints

• joints are when two or more bones join together
• what are the three types of joints

  hinge, fixed, ball and socket
• (synovial) fluid: fills the spaces between joints, keeping them slippery and lubricated
• ligaments: tissue that links bones to each other
• cartilage: smooth, strong tissue found on the ends of your bones
• tendon: tissue that attaches muscle to bone
• ball and socket: for movement in all directions
