Carlos Bulosan (November 24, 1913 – September 11, 1956) – Born in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Bulosan left Philippines at an early age of seventeen to try his luck on seeking hope in finding salvation from the economic depression of his home. Some of themes of his writings focus about the discrimination of social status, since during his youth, his family were economically impoverished by the rich and political elite.
