  : simple to build

  DISADVANTAGE

  : when more device added, overall resistance increase, reduce current in circuit

  : when one device faulty, others stop working -> creates break in circuit, open circuit
• PARALLEL

  • arranged in multiple loops
  • more than one path for electricty to flow
  • used more commonly in households

  ADVANTAGE

  : when more pathways added, overall resistance decrease, more current in circuit

  : faulty device on one path doesn’t affect other paths -> cause break in its own path, others remain closed, electricity flow continuously
