SUBJECT AND VERB AGREEMENT

• Subjects and verbs must AGREE with one another in number, gender, and person (singular or plural).
• If the subject is singular, its verb must also be singular.
• If a subject is plural, its verb must also be a plural.
• The pronoun you requires a plural verb. (You are the apple of my eyes)
• When regarded as individuals, a collective noun is plural.
