Volume

• The VOLUME of a 3-D figure refers to the number of cubic units needed to fill the figure
• In order to find the volume of most Prisms (except cones) use the formula V = Base x height
• To find the volume of a Rectangular Prism we can use the formula

  V = Length x width x height
• In order to find the volume of a Triangular Prism we can use the formula

  V = 1/2 x base x height x length of prism
• To find the volume of a Cylinder we can use the formula

  V = pi x radius squared x height
• To find the volume of a Cone we can use the formula

  V = 1/3 x pi x radius squared x height
• To calculate the volume of a Pyramid we can use the formula

  V = 1/3 x Base x Height
• To calculate the volume of Sphere we can use the formula

  V = 4/3 x pi x radius cube
