  • when the limit f(x) exist, it must be a single number
  • Hole/Open circle - represent a break in the graph
  • x→c - either x < c or x > c
  • x→c⁺ - x > c or from the right (one sided limit)
  • x→c⁻ - x < c or from the left (one-sided limit)
