  • The download speed is asymmetrical to the upload speed.
    • ADSL has a typical download rate of 10 Mbps and an upload speed of 0.5 Mbps (512 Kbps).
    • The upload speed is usually 1/20th of the download speed.
  • Although this connectivity method has a decent download speed, you will be limited by the upload speed.
  • ADSL is good for users who require internet access for web surfing, but it is not the ideal technology for hosting services and servers.
