• State some graphs:

  Bar chart, histogram, scattergraph, table
• Explain bar charts

  • Height represents frequency
  • No true zero
  • Data on horizontal axis is not continuous
  • Can exclude empty categories

  
• Explain histograms

  • Horizontal axis must be continuous
  • Area within bars must be proportional to the frequencies represented.
  • There should be no gaps between bars

  
• Relate the x and y axis to IV and DV

  X axis (horizontal) = must be labelled IV

  Y axis (vertical) = must be labelled DV
• Other than positive, negative and zero, what can a scattergraph also be?

  Curvilinear
