how does the process of fractional distillation work
crude oil is vapourised before it enters a fractionating column
the fractionating column at the bottom is hotter than the one at the top , the vapours rise up and condense and different temperatures depending on their boiling points
hydrocarbons with low boiling points will condense at the top of the column and ones with high boiling points wull condense at the bottom of the column
